Pilates Criss-Cross

10 each side

Hands behind head, elbows wide. Curl your head and shoulders off the mat. Exhale as you rotate your torso, bringing your right elbow toward your left knee while extending your right leg long. Inhale through center, then exhale to the other side. Keep your lower back pressed into the mat throughout. The rotation comes from your ribcage, not your elbows. Move slowly and feel your obliques working with every twist.

Side-Lying Waist Lift

8 each side

Lie on your side with your forearm down, elbow directly under your shoulder. Stack your hips and keep your legs long. Exhale and lift your waist off the mat, creating a rainbow arc with your body. Inhale to lower back down with control. Think of lifting from your waistline, not pushing from your arm. You should feel a gentle squeeze along your side body with every lift.

Standing Oblique Crunch

10 each side

Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, hands behind your head. Exhale and lift your right knee while bringing your right elbow down to meet it. Keep your core engaged and your chest lifted. Inhale to return to standing. Complete all reps on one side, then switch. Focus on the side-body contraction rather than how high your knee lifts.

Mermaid Stretch

6 each side

Sit with your legs folded to one side, sitting tall through your spine. Inhale and reach your top arm in a long arc overhead, stretching toward the opposite side. Exhale and deepen the stretch, breathing into the open side of your ribcage. Inhale to return. Feel the entire length of your waistline opening up. This is where grace meets definition.
